LiFe iS gOOd!

So we went island hopping to Oahu this weekend...something I never thought I would be doing! And we had a great time! We flew in Friday evening and we were then able to spend time with some of our best friends, Rj and Rikki. They have a beautiful home in Oahu and are a blast to be around.  Saturday we went to the CU v UH game..which was a bummer for us because CU really struggled! But...the tailgate and the game were super fun..

Welp... other than that, we got home yesterday afternoon and Jordon went to work... I came home and had a nice evening with my other man...Champ... and he even watched House Bunny with me...what a guy!! So this morning, I was so excited to sleep in a little bit and wake up and watch the Today Show...but its not on, or it is not on here at least...so bummed...I am having Kathy Lee amd Hoda withdrawals! haha...I guess I'll have to stick to the Fox News this morning....Which is good since I am kind of in a secluded world, but  maybe I should see what is going on...or maybe its just best to not know ;)....  Although...this weekend was really nice because we got a little bit city life...after being in the country for a month.  I forget how country it is here and then we go to Oahu...and I am like oh my goodness! Here is a picture of where I run in Kauai..and this is a crowded road and a good sized little town in Kauai ;) Super nice run! Where are the people!?
Other than that I like to end with talking about how Life is Good.  I have been on a roller coaster of emotions lately. I have been excited to be in a new place, and excited to be with family and friends.  I have been stressed out with work, moving and life in general.  I have been sick and extremely tired.  I have run myself into exhaustion and seen how my body can react in harsh conditions...  I have been sad to be away from my family and sad because I am missing my friends. I have been happy to do something so neat as moving to Hawaii with my husband.  I feel lucky to be able to be in such a beautiful place.  I feel content to know that I finally have a career that I enjoy and that I can be good at... As you can see, in life, there are always ups and downs, ins and outs. However, when you go down you always come back up :)...So..This week I would like to focus on staying steady, or keeping my emotional roller coaster at bay.  This means I am going to have to work on,not worrying as much about the small stuff, taking care of body before its gets too low, and then taking the excitement with care and re-focusing it into motivation and relaxation.  How do I do this, you might  ask?
Just remember that LIG...

New Product Review!

So...I went to Honolulu this weekend and did a lot of shopping :)...oooops! But...seeing as I am always shopping for a good instant tanner, as so many are very unnatural I feel compelled to tell you that I found a good one.  I have tried many of Victoria's Secret instant tanners and never found one I absolutely loved.  However, this weekend I got the "Custom Tan: Adjustable Self-Tan Lotion with Shimmer" and it worked excellent.  It only took a few hours to show up, and has a really nice glow.  This morning I got up preparing to get rid of streaks...and I have none, not even around my hands! Score!...and you can turn the dial to get a lighter or deeper tan!

Woe is me...

SO, the last 24 hours have not been the my greatest...i know there are worse things out there, but sometimes you just gotta vent..and then drink a lot of wine..and then vent..and then wine more drink...I mean drink more wine....It all started with the death of a tiny little three legged friend yesterday evening...We have this grasshopper that has only three legs and has made a home in our kitchen for the last few weeks..every morning when I wake up he is right there standing over the sink ...huge green eyes...so adorable...I know I have been dissing the whole Kauai bug scene lately...but this one won my heart....so anyways, I am minding my own business doing some laundry, and I open the dryer...dum dum dum...out falls my green little friend...fried crispy. I think to myself no-it's not him, I flip him over...no leg :(...it was my friend...I started crying, because I put the clothes in the dryer, I killed him...devastation. I finally got over it and tried to begin my Thursday like every other Thursday...but some days you just don't have the energy.  I have 20 4 year-olds in my class, all day!...and its just me, no help. 20. 20. 20. If my energy isn't hyperactive and vibrant...the day does not go smoothly...and that is what happened. When your energy is not that of 10 people...you can't help every child...and then all heck breaks loose. One kid is crying, one is hitting another...one little boy is rolling around on the carpet...while the other has glued himself to his art project...and another is telling me that her shirt is too dirty, she MUST go change it.  This is where my patience would be nice...but today it took a vacation...far far far away.  Thank goodness for playdough...and good wine....woe is me.... ;)

Morning Sunshines!

Ahh....Wednesday...my easiest day...and maybe Happy Hour :) what are your Wednesday plans? I wish I had something to say...but I just don"t :( umm...the waves were super huge yesterday...the beach was so packed with spectators that you couldn't even run on the road...and Champ couldn't even swim! Crazy!  Oh and Jordon and me have come up with s super awesome "semi-homade" recipe...which I don't really want to tell you about for fear that I might make it for you one day trying to pass it off as homemade...but what the heck, we will cross that bridge when we get there! For those of you who have a costco...we have been getting the frozen floutas...the chipoltle chicken ones...then we line them(frozen) along the bottom of a pan..fill the whole thing up..and pour over enchilada sauce mixed with sour cream and cheese and bake(at 400).  They make the most amazing and quick enchiladas...better than any restaurant :)!! k, byee...share quick recipes with me, okay!....now that me and Jordon are both working ;0

Goodmorning! Little high heels & gym shoes Lesson!

Welp, I finally got ready in time to enjoy my coffe and blog before school! This is a first! My classroom is starting to get in order...so I am having a little more free time.  So, every fall for the last three years, I have been doing a bible study in Detroit.  This year, I am having withdrawls! We have just joined a Calvary Chapel here, so hopefully eventually we will be able to join a study or something...but in the mean time I pulled out my old bible study material from Detroit. The book we focused on for two years...which I have told my fam about...is called Lies Women Believe....and I absolutely love it. It is not for everybody though.. and can be a little "hard core" with telling you the truth... but I think it is great!...So in the first few chapters you are to ask God to shed light on where you are believing lies, and need to hear the truth.  I believe he is teaching me tolerance through my words.  Sometimes when people ask me things, or talk to me, I end up telling them too much or sharing a problem, just to make good conversation.  Then the people want to help you...which is great...but it is not always in ways you would like them to...It's kind of along the lines of be careful what you wish for...so this is my little lesson today..always think about the things you say, even if they are good things, which was in my case..because you never know where they might lead :)

ExhaUsTeD!...but BaCK

So...I love my job, but I am officially exhausted! I have been working 24 hours a day and I still have more to do :)...I couldn't even blog!  I haven't even been working out!...just working day and night for these little munchkins!. So...I am finally getting more organized..so I foresee the light shining through in my future...and hopefully I will be able to be a better blogger...because we all know its my fav thing!!
NE wayz...to catch you up with our lives...that would be me and da J mans....here ya go. J got a job working at the Marriott, and he is totally excited...and so am I...$60 a night at any Marriott in the world! He is really enjoying his retirement and his body is finally starting to heal...he is feeling better than ever.  My kids are crazy like I said before...I spent my lunch yesterday talking to three four year-olds about why we do not use the classroom as a place to carry out wrestling matches while they cried because they were missing recess...and they are so cute...you just want to give in...our house is finally in order and is super cute...although we are infested with every kind of bug you could imagine...my family would be so proud that I have learned to be okay with bugs crawling all around me...I am maturing ;) Champ is doing more than great now that he has settled in here...he basically goes to the beach with his dad everyday...then goes on a bike ride or run with him...spoiled! although...he gets so jealous of our duck family..which is getting really brave because they know Champ will not chase them...I actually fed them bread this morning...Champ managed to get out the back and run around to the front..and steal the bread...then sit down to show me he deserved some to...super spoiled :)
Last night we went to the fair!...it is the big think over here..and they actually call it the carnival....I pictured a Nevada County fair size...not too big, not super small, since it is the whole island..but it was a little different than the 'ole NC fair...the 4H program was only 4 sheep, 2 goats, & 3 Cows...so cute!!! but we had such a good time, we went with J's sis Alex and we took Mauka..Jordon's nephew..and he loved it! We ate too much food and too many malasadas, they also have these things called flying saucers...I do not know if you have had...but they are two pieces of bread with sloppy jo and cheese mixed in the middle and then they are grilled together....so good!!
..our biggest problem thus far in Kauai has been our coffee maker...I know, seriously! it is a disaster...we first noticed a problem when we plugged in our kurig and noticed that the coffee looked rather "clear"...so we called and played around with it and after a week it came back to us...then it started producing bad coffee again...so Jordon went and bought a regular one...and yesterday the coffee still did not taste good!! we are going crazy!!! haha, Peewee & Cathy, I know what your thinking...just go buy the cheapest one, and it will make the best coffee! ...So anyways, life is good here, just busy! We got a brand new TortillaBar Restaurant and it is so cool and so nice...happy hour here we come! Byee!

Bugz & Roosterz

Okay, who screams "get the hell out of there before I sit down on this toliet!?"...the answer to that question is the blond headed girl living in bugsville, bugsdiana...I mean Koloa, Hi.  We have them everywhere, and if there isn't a bug, there is geckos...I took a shower with two geckos this morning...how cute :) And..I have not yet gotten used to the Roosters. Usually they yell at the break of dawn...great, no alarm clock needed, and how nice to wake up to...however, we have one in our backyard who is from California...and cock a doodle doos at 3am every night...no sunlight...I tried to wake Champ up last night and sick him on 'em...but his lazy butt wouldn't even lift his head and to make it worse, he started fake sleeping...
Sometimes...teaching seems like this :)

KaUaI DiArY

Ahh, so I made it through my first week alive!! I was so busy, I didn't even have time to blog! Let's recap the week....So my first few days were long, stressful, and hard, but tons of fun.  My class is so adorable, and they are sooo tiny... I have a class with most of what they call the "late borns" so most of my students are still four. They are so little and cute....I have a few little trouble makers, which I am sure you will hear me venting about from time to time...as already in the first week of school I had to talk to their parents ;)...but at least they are sweet, just wild!

So here in Hawaii they have their own little nicknames for everything...It is hilarious hearing the kids talk....For example, here, children call all adults either Auntie or Uncle...This unfortunately carries over into the classroom.  All day it's "Auntie this" "Auntie that" "Auntie I'm firsty" "Auntie I'm hot"...or the usual "Auntie, my leg hurts from sitting, can I play?"...We are not supposed to let them call us Auntie, so I often correct them, but sometimes its just easier to let it go :)...another word they use is "shee-she"(sp?), which is what they call "going potty". So then it comes out like this..."yes", "Auntie, I go make she-she?" ...and then one little girl, the youngest in my class comes up squirming around to me on friday, "Auntie, Auntie, I need make dodo."...TMI...haha, but hilarious. ..hope you liked the little pics...

So besides school, Jordon and I are finally getting settled in our little place....I have wayyy too many clothes to even know what to do with, so I actually had to get a rolling rack...I feel like I own a store in my room...and I had to take over a guest bedroom.... don't worry, if you are planning on visiting, which I know most of you are, I can now conveniently roll out my clothes to provide you with ample space.

What is really cool about our place is that all the doors are double doors and with the nice weather, we can keep them open all day and night, it is like we are living in a jungle!...and our Lanai, or "porch" is fully covered and waterproof....so we sat outside yesterday in the rain watching tv all day and it was so awesome...Another thing..here in Koloa/Poi Pu where we are living...the rain is so unpredictable and it rains at least once everyday... Yesterday Champ, Jordon, and me decided to go on a long run on a bypass road near our house...it was sunny and nice and felt great...however, within three minutes of our run we were caught in a down poor. We were soaked...knowing that it would go away soon...we kept running...then we were right..sun shined through and dried us in a matter of minutes and we were burning...on our way back about four minutes from our house...we were completely dumped on again..hard rain with wind so bad that we couldn't even look up...so much for drying off! It was fun though :)...and other than that we are doing good, Champypoo loves it here because we have roosters, cats, and ducks in our backyard...we found out that our neighbors treat the ducks as pets, so we have to be careful Champ doesn't get ahold of one...I couldn't find Champ, or my sister n law's chihuahua, Darla, friday evening, so I looked back behind the trees and both of them were swimming up the creek following a duck....

Update :)

Welp, it looks as though I am getting my husband back!!! Yay :). As most of you know, he was released last night from the lions for injury reasons. He had offers to go to other teams but seeing as his body is pretty messed up, he has decided to retire, and now wants to pursue other things...it's not everyday a 25 year-old retires! So, we are completely happy and excited to now start a new journey...for as most of you know, the NFL life really wasn't our style.  Although we did have a great experience, met a lot of amazing people and got a great start on life...we are ready to settle down :)!

My buddy is coming today!

SO, finally the love of my life is coming in to town today.  He is 75lbs of slobber and red fur.  He enjoys long walks, swimming and cuddling with me! Oh and my hubby is coming in today too ;).  They are coming in because all of our stuff from cali is coming tomorrow.  Ironically, tomorrow is my first day of work. Wait, not ironically, doesn't it always happen that way? Also, ironically, it looks like the lockout just ended, and Jordon will have to leave again Thursday...Which would also be just are luck...now LOL. Anyways, we thought our stuff wasn't coming in until mid-august, so this was a great suprise.  Now I can get to work on our little  home! SO, I totally want to feng shui my little place, but I really don't even know what that means, haha. I have read a few books and have a few ideas, but anyone who has any hints...let me know! And...now that I will be back in a home and done moving, for now, I can get back to the EveryGirl! I have been having withdrawls!
Isn't he the most...to say the least!

It's Friday!

So...for those of you who don't know...my favorite artist...rebecca black, sings an amazing song about my favorite day, FRIDAY! yaayaa...

And finally, the question we have all been waiting for her to answer, "sittin in the front seat, sittin in the back seat...what seat will I choose?"

It's friday, friday, gotta get down on friday, party and party and ya, fun fun fun fun....
This one goes out to Ali and her new classmate!

KaUaI...

OKay, so for those of you know us, we always keep you on your feet...and now we are in Hawaii! It all started, oh about a month ago, when we realized that we were sick of waiting around for football. While everyone says how nice it must be to not have anything to do during the day....we were going crazy...and we even did find things to fill up our day. Jordon practically started a new career and I taught all spring...however, we were getting bored in SD, and felt like we really were not getting anywhere.  I was offered a  job in Kauai teaching, and we just jumped on the offer! So, as of right now, we are planning on just being here a year.  If we love it, we will stay longer, if we are yearning for the mainland we will probably come back! After this...to make my family feel better...we will be moving to Huntington Beach...so don't worry, we will be back!...And I know, the question of the hour...what about football? and Jordon? ...well to explain, Jordon has one more year on his contract...so he is legally bound to the sport for one more season...he will eventually, when the strike ends, have to go back to Detroit.  If they think he can play and want to keep him on their team, they will, and I will have to fly back and forth this fall.  This would be very hard, I know, and a pain, but we have done this before and will get through it. My school is also a year-round school, so I have a lot of time off in the fall, which will make it a lot easier!....The other scenario-if his knee is not 100% yet, which we both know it is not, and they decide he can't play, they will release him.  At this point he has like 24-48 hours to be picked up by another team. If he is, he has to go to that team, and the scenarios start again.  If he is not, because of injury, he will come back to Kauai with me & champerdoodle and get a job here, which he already has 100 offers....So I hope that answers your questions! Now, on to me :)...I have a kindergarten classroom and am so excited for this upcoming year.  I just got here and we start next week, so my head is going insane....I foresee endless hours in the room over the next week...my school is Koloa Elementary and it is super cute(I will post some pics soon).  Schools are a little different than in the mainland...so it will take some getting used to, but all in all, it seems great!
Pictures to come this evening....

Finally Bloggin'!...longest blog ever...

Ahh, so what a month it has been! I will take you through the last month's journey step by step...yay you guys ;)...
Let me start at the phenomenal beginning...I met the one and only Garth Brooks, and we made out!..okay, just kidding :)...but we did get to talk for like five minutes...me him, trish(as in yearwood) and kitty kat and...He is my all time favorite singer, ever, I am a super die hard fan.  My dream when I was little was to get to see Garth Brooks in concert..and I guess the lord heard my prayers!  Jordon gives to his charity every year and in return he puts on a show for the players...we weren't going to go because Jordo couldn't make it, but my bf Kathleen stepped in, and we got to go!...! We got to see an amazing performance in Las Vegas, and then we got to meet him at a party after. The whole thing was for charity, which made it that much better!

He touched my hand...and told us we had nice boots ;)! Thanks dad!
Talking to him...and check this out, he did track and field at OSU...our enemies...but he threw jav! SO did we...
Okay, so my dad was the hit of the night, with our new sexy Justin's on our feet, we were unstoppable!
His one guitar...

Okay...so now that Garth is out of the way...I can move on, oh wait did I tell you that I met Garth Brooks, oh shoot already did...okay so My other Bff, Brittany, got married, and her wedding was amazing! It was in Buffalo, NY and I went to her bach and her wedd...so I now know the Buff area very well...Her Bach party was at Niagara Falls, which is incredible! I was so beautiful, I highly recommend going :) We had a killer time and I got to meet all of her amazing friends! Here are some pics...

And then on to her beautiful wedding! She was the prettiest bride ever, I am so so happy for her and her husband, Dan!! I also did a reading at the wedding, which was incredibly scary...but I was so happy to be a part of the it all!

The Gronkowski's

Okay...I'll end there, for now :)...but you know whats coming tomorrow...our move to Kauai...ahhh!
