*words of the wise*

"One things life has taught me: if you are interested, you never have to look for new interests.  They come to you" ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
* I am reading a book by her and she is such an incredible writer that I thought I would periodically share some inspirations. This quote refers to the fact that we, as women, are always looking for new things to be interested in, new hobbies of sort, however, be interested in everything, life;  then happiness and interesting things will come to you.  This also helps us to learn from each thing, each experience we encounter each day :)...
"...when you are genuinely interested in one thing, it will always lead to something else" ~E.R.

Hawaii Dreamin...

Life can be so unexpected. It can be hard to know what path to follow when two are put in front of you. God expects great things from us all and sometimes we have to hear his call and follow where it leads.  Right now me and Jordon are in an extremely strange place in our lives.  We both know that we are young, that we do not have to figure it all out right now, but we also feel this pull to get on with our lives, to make something happen.  Sports, and namely, the NFL have been guiding us for so long that we have almost forgotten how to make our own life choices.  We have forgotten that we can make our own life plan.  While we have been stuck in a rut during this lockout we have come to some conclusions about what we want to get out of life and what our priorities are. Jordon and I have even been playing with the idea of moving to Kauai for a few years.  Jordon has not lived near his family in about 8 years and feels a pull to go back for awhile.  At first I was reluctant about the idea.  This would be majorly stepping out of my comfort zone and stepping into my deepest fears of being so far away from my family.  However, with some thought, I realized that nothing like that would be happening.  I would actually be embracing family relationships that I haven't yet built because we do not live near Jordon's family.  And he has the most awesome family.  I know that we would be surrounded by so much love there.  While I know my family and friends here would be sad, and that it would be hard to leave, I am also very much excited about this possibility.  I have even been offered a job as a full-time teacher as well, which makes the whole thing that much sweeter.  So, while it is not finalized, I just want to give you all a heads up and tell you that we are so excited about the possibilities of taking our lives in a new direction...and can't wait to start our own journey!
