feeling fall!

So, I absolutely love fall...everything about it...the crisp air, the changing leaves...Halloween..boots... sweaters...school...football... etc...I think that is the reason I always liked Michigan.  You can feel the fall in Michigan...you could feel the fall where I grew up. Southern California does get a little cooler and breezier...but that's about it...and lets face fall is completely foreign to Hawaii..."kids did you know that leaves change color in the fall?"..."what?".."and then fall off in the winter"..."what?"...so anyways...for me, coming to California did not give me my fall fix.  However, if you know my cousin Cathy, you know that her house is always in season.  Upon entering it you smell baked pumpkin muffins, Cinnamon and spice..you are immediately enclosed in a feeling of warmth with colors of orange, brown, red and, yellow.. pumpkin candles are lit and leaves and pumpkins make up the majority of decor.  Fall! yes!! thank you Cathy! so...in effort to create fall in both my house and classroom, I am taking notes...and have already spent my pay check at old world and bed, bath, and beyond.  I am determined to bring fall to Hawaii, if its the last thing I do.  Jordon loves the smell of pumpkin...thank goodness because I got about 20 smellies for our house :)
